Yes, I Know I am Being Cyberstalked
by Susan Basko, esq.
I have been getting some queries asking if I realize I am being cyberstalked. Why yes, I do realize this.
People have also asked what am I doing about it. The answer is that I reported it to law enforcement agencies. I do expect those responsible will be brought to justice, but am also aware it can take a while. Those responsible have publicly posted the fruits of their crimes, which should make it easier to "catch" them, since they are openly admitting and displaying their crimes. (We've also hired an armed bodyguard; there was simply no choice.)
Cyberstalking is a federal crime and basically consists of surveillance and harassment against a person using a means of interstate commerce, such as the internet. You can read that law HERE.
The booklet below was published by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2016. It is free for you to download and use to educate yourself and others. The booklet explains about cyberstalking, cyber harassment, doxing, sextortion, and other such topics.
